Gulf Breeze Hospital, located 3 blocks from The Villas, opened in 1985 to serve our community. This 60-bed hospital features an intensive care unit, five operating rooms, outpatient surgery, and 24 hour emergency care. There are numerous Doctor and Dentist office's and Pharmacies in Gulf Breeze, and just 3 miles across the bay is Pensacola, a city with 3 hospitals with trauma centers and numerous doctors and specialists in nearly every field of healthcare!

With over 300 days of sunshine each year our beaches fit your dreams. Our beaches are pristine and easily accessible. If you prefer crowds or privacy you can choose lifeguards, beach-goers, and restaurants or just the two of you. The miles of unspoiled beaches offer a calmness and retreat from life's hectic pace. Whether beachcombing, sunbathing, fishing, feeding seagulls, or resting by the surf you won't be disappointed!

Churches
The Gulf Breeze Area offers a wide array of churches close to your new home. The Gulf Breeze area supports more than 20 churches! (Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Assembly of God and many others also call Gulf Breeze their home.) Additionally many of our local churches offer senior programming in the form of meetings, craft clubs, supper clubs, weekly lunch groups, day trips, and tours, as well as choirs and classes. There is much here to be involved in and many caring friends just waiting to meet you!

Recreation
Recreation around Gulf Breeze, however, is not just parks! Don't forget about diving, hiking, camping, golf, tennis and many more activities that Gulf Breeze offers. There are 40 golf courses within 100 miles, many tennis courts-both public and private, jogging, nature trails, camping and RV areas, a Zoo, museums, and Civil War era forts to visit.

A Military Presence
Located between Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, Gulf Breeze has easy access to Pensacola Naval Air Station; Eglin Air Force Base; Hurlburt, Whiting, Saufley, and Corry Fields and other Military Installations. Not a military retiree? Then just see Navy's Blue Angels. Don't miss the Blue Angels Air Show every July at beautiful Pensacola Beach or the Homecoming Show in November at the Naval Air Station; or visit the Air Museums at Pensacola or Eglin and experience our country's history!

 Parks
Our island beaches are part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, which preserves beaches from development and keeps them open to the public, preserving this pristine beauty for generations to come. Gulf Breeze has the distinction of having more of its land (53%) devoted to parks than any other city its size. Over 1500 acres of public parklands are within the city limits.
